How much does it cost?
Our rates are listed above under What it costs. Editing is priced by word count and design work at flat prices. You get a written quote for exactly the work you want before anything starts, and nothing is charged until you say yes.
Do I have to use Bōcere?
No. Bōcere is the software we make and the one our editors work in, so it is the easiest way to pass a book back and forth. We also take manuscripts in Word, Google Docs or plain text. See bocere.app.
Who owns the book?
You do. Your words and your copyright stay yours, and no manuscript is ever used to train anything.
Can I keep my name off it?
Yes. You can publish under a pen name and change the names of the people in your story. We help you decide what to protect.
Do you write the book for me?
Only if you ask. Most authors write the book, and we edit, design and produce it with them. If you’d rather tell your story than type it, ask about ghostwriting and we’ll talk it through.
